Metadata Explorer

Salesforce metadata management and org documentation

Pull your org’s metadata once and browse it instantly: every object and field, all Apex and LWC source, flows, profiles and permission sets, and a full-text search across everything — with an interactive map of how your objects relate.

What you can do

  • Objects and fields with types, picklist values, formulas, and relationships
  • Apex class and trigger source, LWC bundles with every resource file
  • Flows, profiles, permission sets, and a 50+ type metadata catalog you opt into per org
  • Global full-text search across names, labels, Apex bodies, and component source
  • An interactive relationship map — pick objects, see lookups and master-details drawn between them
  • Company information: edition, limits, storage, and licence usage at a glance
  • Favourites and one-click login straight into the connected org

How it works

1

Connect and pull

Read-only OAuth, then pull the metadata you care about — core objects only, or everything.

2

Browse instantly

Metadata is stored in orgadmin.ai, so navigation is fast and doesn’t burn API calls. Refresh any dataset on demand.

3

Search and map

Full-text search across the org, and relationship maps that make data-model conversations five minutes instead of fifty.

Why it's different

Read-only by architecture

The Salesforce client behind the explorer has no create, update, delete, or deploy methods at all — destructive HTTP verbs are refused at the transport layer, and a test suite asserts it stays that way. Browsing your org here can’t hurt it.

Try asking

  • Onboard a new admin with a searchable, browsable picture of the org
  • Answer “what would break if we change this field?” before changing it
  • Document the data model for an audit or an implementation partner
  • Find every flow and trigger touching Opportunity before a release
